amazake
Join fermentation enthusiast Andrea Potter of Rooted Nutrition for this demonstration on how to make amazake. Amazake is a fermented rice beverage/porridge, popular in Japan. This class is a slightly more advanced fermentation class (we’ll be learning about inoculation and incubation here!), but all are welcome, it’s pretty easy to get the hang of.
Here, we apply amazake to make some tasty flavoured beverages and smoothies, or you can add it to your baked goods as a healthy sugar alternative.

This class includes:

  • Demonstration of how to make (and ferment) amazake
  • Nutrition information about the benefits of amazake
  • Recipe for amazake as well as for some tasty flavour variations
  • Tasting a different applications of amazake

Hi, this class is in past events that we have done. I do not have another amazake class booked at the moment. The cost varies depending on which venue we do it in. Last time, we did this class at the Homesteader’s Emporium for $27 or so. I’ll move this event over to the ‘upcoming events’ section once I book it again.
